News and events

A morning of slow movement to help the back to move and the mind to relax enough to send positive movement messages to the back.

In April in The Barn 10 -12 noon.

Tailored morning for 6 people – £20 pp

A rather long-winded way to highlight the mind-body connection that we strengthen with our sensory approach to yoga.  We will not be pracising lots of yoga shapes but we will be moving a lot and monitoring our own individual experiences.

THIS SOUNDBATH EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED TO TAKE PART IN A SIMILAR EVENT IN THE FUTURE, PLEASE LET ME KNOW.

18 February 2019

Soundbath Meditation and Sound Therapy in The Barn

We will loosen up for the meditation – lying down or supported seated.

Wendy McCartney, a student of  the British Academy of Sound Therapy (BAST) will lead a 45 minute Soundbath whilst participants relax.  Following this Wendy will ask for comments and feedback.

The January session was explorative and very enjoyable – see some comments below.  This  should also be a fascinating experience

The barn is a small, cosy and very warm space.

Please bring yoga/pilates mats.  There will be blankets, lavender bags and water in situ for you.  Some members of the last session felt that a cushion for the head was preferable to a yoga  block or half block. Pleae ensure that you are comfortable.

Some comments from the January session:

“..I felt chilled all day..”

                                                                                           “….sense of losing my body…..

“….Both sides of my head felt really relaxed…”

       ” …I think that I fell asleep..”

“.. I thought that it was a recording at one point…”

                       “……purest sounds I have ever heard…..”
